Tubular steel pool and security fencing, built to meet WA safety rules.

Answers to what Perth Hills owners ask us most.

Are you local, and do you offer free quotes?

COLORBOND®, timber or PVC, which is best for the Perth Hills?

COLORBOND® handles WA heat and UV well, resists termites, needs little maintenance and suits bushfire-prone blocks. Timber gives a natural look but can have higher maintenance requirements. PVC and vinyl are low-maintenance and clean-looking. We will walk you through what fits your property, budget and outlook.

How much does fencing cost in the Perth Hills?

It depends on the fence type, length and your site. COLORBOND® is usually the most cost-effective long-term option, while timber, PVC and rural fencing vary with materials and access. Hills blocks can add cost where there is rock, slope or tight access, so we quote every job on site. Quotes are free and itemised. Call 0421 511 564 for a fast estimate.

Who pays for a boundary fence in WA?

Under the Dividing Fences Act 1961 (WA), neighbours generally share the cost of a sufficient dividing fence equally. You give the adjoining owner written notice of the proposed work before starting. We are happy to help you plan a fence that keeps things simple with the neighbours.

Do I need council approval for a fence?

Most standard dividing fences do not need a building permit, but there are exceptions. Masonry or brick fences over 750mm generally require a building permit, and height and setback rules apply, especially to front fences. We build to local laws and can point you to the right approval where one is needed.

What are the pool fencing rules in WA?

Pool and spa barriers in WA must meet AS 1926.1 under the Building Regulations. In short, a compliant barrier is required around water deeper than 300mm, it must be at least 1.2m high with a 900mm non-climbable zone, and gates must be self-closing and self-latching. Your local government inspects pool barriers. We install pool and safety fencing built to comply.
